Another week or marketing tips for the small business owner. If you want more, don't forget to follow us for Daily Tips on Twitter.

1. When picking a business name, make sure the URL is available also. Also, this is the time to consider whether your name is going to conflict with someone's Trade Mark.

2.Have a website menu name different to everyone else e.g. 'We Rock' for your case studies or WTF? for your Specials. The key here is to grab the attention of the 'browser' on your website and to set you apart from your competitors.

3. Subscribe to media alerts from places such as Source Bottle. Then respond to them, you would be surprised how successful this will be for your business.

4. Have you set marketing objectives for your business yet? Even if they are simple like increasing your website visits by 100 each month and then how you are going to do it e.g. comment on other people's forums or blogs. Then keep track of them.

5.Do some market research. Create 5 questions that you would like to know about your business such as "what other service would you like us to provide" and send this to all your clients, friends and family for feedback. You can use online survey tools to help.

Do you have any tips?
