I have added some extra things to the list, all of which are easily manageable within a small business, they include:
- Identifying one person who can get your company more exposure like a friend that you can be affiliates for each other?
- Finding one metric about your business that you know the least about—and learn more about it
- Coming up with one thing you could do to increase your conversion rates by 1%
- Identifying one mundane task you could easily outsource such as bookkeeping?
- Removing one blog from your feed reader that’s not worth your time; and adding one that is
- Write one blog (or your first) for your business
- Do one marketing activity that you haven't done before - see the DIY Marketing List for ideas
- Thank at least one important person within your business community
- Choose one charity that you want to support in 2010
- Decide on one radical idea you want to implement in your business in the new year (this is where you get to have some fun)
What’s the one thing you could do today to make your company more productive? Get in the habit of taking one action at a time, whether it is one thing a week or once a month. By the end of 2010 you will have achieved more using this method than trying to get it all done at once.
