Have new site and this was a great help, does it help more in your ranking if the directory sites are from Australia?
Yes technically it would, since directories in Australia would be more relevant to an australian website than an overseas directory.
Since the directories are in Australia when searching on search engines, and the 'australia only' selection is chosen you have more of a chance of getting a number of entries in the search engine listings for all the different directories you business is listed in.
